I was born and raised in Greenville, North Carolina and I am a first generation Mexican-American. My family immigrated from Mexico and I have been exposed to immigration matters at an early age. Even though I never went through the challenges of being an immigrant myself, I grew up witnessing the social, cultural and communication barriers my family faced. It is because of them that I want to use the opportunities I have to help others. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in communications and marketing. I am an avid fan of sports, the beach and traveling.
